Busmania Drawings
Welcome
Welcome to my gallery of bus drawings. These are drawings of buses and coaches of places I have visited. I'll will try to make drawings of both sides of the buses and coaches but sometimes this is not possible due the short period of time I stayed at those locations. Note that some of the buses and coaches are no longer in operation in the particular country.

I visited Japan several times beginning in the 1990s. Here are some drawings from the various cities in the islands of Honshu, Kyusu and Shikoku. Japanese buses and coaches do not display the chassis manufacturer's badge making identification difficult. To make things more confusing, some body builders such as NSK, Fuji, Kureha, etc... build identical bodies on various chassis.

When I visited New Zealand, Stagecoach just bought over the city bus services. Most of the buses are still in the previous operator's livery. There are also many old buses still in operation with private operators and many of them were converted into mobile homes or "Movans".

Countries which I have visited in Europe are Holland, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Norway is the country I have spend the most time compared to all the others. The city buses in Oslo are mainly built by Arna, VBK, Vest and Ajokki during my visit in the early 1990s.

When I visited Dubai, the Dubai Municipal Public Transport Volvo B10Ms and DAF SB220s were still in use. The Nissans were in the process of been withdrawn. Middle East has a sizable number of Indian workers so it is not surprising to find a number of Tatas and Ashok Leylands used as school buses and factory workers buses.

The population of Brunei is about 220,000 at the time I visited the capital Bandar Sri Begawan. I observed only two big size buses on stage services, both Isuzus painted in red/white livery. The other stage buses used are mostly Toyota Coasters.
